When you give to the College of Education (CED), you strengthen the value of a Rowan University education degree.
The College of Education is a leading force in preparing and supporting reflective practitioners who use education to transform our global society. A gift to the CED supports an advanced curriculum, scholarships, hands-on student-teaching experiences, faculty research, and more – ensuring the remarkable success of our future educators as they set out to leave a lasting impact on students from pre-school to K-12 to college and beyond.
The Early Childhood Demonstration Center values developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood programs that focus on the growth of the individual child, offering preschool-age children of students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community opportunities to learn through play in a pre-kindergarten setting.
The Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) program focuses on developing leaders who have management and administrative ability by integrating academic instruction with opportunities to apply leadership theory to actual workplace problems.
The mission of Project IMPACT is to increase the representation of males from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds in teaching and respond to persistent opportunity gaps faced by that demographic. IMPACT participants are high-achieving students with a commitment to academic excellence and community engagement who will bring socio-economic and educational transformation to underserved communities.
The Ph.D. in Education offers concentrations in higher and postsecondary education, counselor education, literacy education, special education and urban and diverse learning environments. Students are tasked with responding to the world's most persistent educational challenges, those that obstruct access, success and equity in traditionally underserved communities.
